The Camí de Cavalls (GR-223) is a historic path of about 185 km that rings the whole island. Once used to watch the coast, today it’s the best way to discover the Menorca you can’t see from the car.

How to walk it

It’s split into 20 stages of varying difficulty. You don’t need to do it all — pick individual stretches by area and fitness.

  • For dream coves: the southern stretches (Cala Galdana → Macarella, or towards Mitjana).
  • For wild scenery: the north coast, rougher and more solitary.

Tips

Bring water, a hat and good shoes; some stretches have little shade. Start early in summer and respect the surroundings — Menorca is a Biosphere Reserve. Walking it slowly is, precisely, the luxury.
